Oiling the Creaky Doors
The problem with your creaky door is merely oiling. One of the things that you need to use in order to deal with this problem once and for all is petroleum-based oil. Once you have got this lubricant in your hand, the first step is to spray it on the hinges of your door. Keep opening and closing the door severally. In case the squeaky voice won’t end, try applying the lubricant while the door is only partially closed.
You will notice that the creaky sound will have ended. Alternatively, make use of elbow grease. In this case, you have to remove each of the hinges’ pins. Then, clean both the pins and hinges using a cloth. After that, lubricate the hinges inside before replacing the pins. Do the same thing to all the other hinges. After trying to open and close the door a few times, the creaky should be there no more.
Choosing a dog house plan as per the size of your dog
The choice of a dog house plan will in most cases be based on the size of your dog. However here are some valuable tips that will guide you in coming up with the best shelter for your dog.
The plan should have enough space to accommodate an adult dog. Always consider a shelter which guarantees a third of the dog’s standing height.
Make sure that house is built slightly above the ground to allow free flow of air and water. Ventilation will keep your dog healthy and ensure that predators are kept away from the house. Also put up a structure that can block the wind as this will enable the dog to use the warmth from its body to keep the house warm.
Look for a plan with guidelines on areas that need slanting in case of rain. The slanting is usually done at the doorway and the roofing. In areas prone to storms, the house should face the opposite direction to the usual storm direction.
