There are quite a number of factors which come into play when thinking of whether to adopt laminate or hard wood flooring, and they range from issues such as durability, value and maintenance. While laminated floors function well in houses where the traffic is high, hardwood type of flooring will always add value to your home. It is important to note that the two types of flooring provide some form of better alternative to carpets.

Laminates come in a wide range of color, meaning that they can be bought in a color that is bound to complement the color of the house walls, whereas hardwood is usually available in quite a wide range of finishes, some of which are pre-factory. One of the features which makes it acceptable is the fact that it can glued to the floor. Laminates on the other hand provide a high level of durability and are as well preferred.
