By having your blinds and curtains closed even in the early morning is enough to ensure that your house remains cool, as the slightest of sun heat is enough to warm up the whole house, and you don’t want to have your electricity bill going up. You could as well opt to start the cool air from early morning, even before the sun gets to rise. If you will be gone from home all day, make a point of leaving your air conditioner on running on the low, which will effectively ensure that your house stays cool.

If you by any chance come home to realize that you forgot to switch on the air conditioner, then you could as well switch on the fan, but make sure that it is pointed to some other exit, as this will effectively push out the warm air from inside the house. As you do this, ensure that one of the windows remains open to allow some circulation.
